| "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." - William Shakespeare Hamlet Act 1, scene 3, 78–82 This line from Hamlet pertains to a lot of different things in life. But I decided to focus on something that is a part of my daily life, and the lives of most of the women I know. Makeup, hair dye, etc is all a part of the mask we put on to become a character that we believe is a better version of ourselves. It makes us feel good. But is it really who we are? What are we trying to hide? It is an illusion that exists only in your mind, a false reality that feeds off of your insecurities. Be true to yourself, stop hiding who you truly are and be free You are beautiful. |
